Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking an Associate Attorney for our Geneva, IL office to join a fast-paced personal injury practice.

This hybrid role offers 1-2 remote days per week and entails managing cases from pre-litigation through trial while coordinating with clients and opponents.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience, strong legal writing and oral advocacy, excellent attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to achieving exceptional client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
• Active Illinois attorney license or eligibility to practice in Illinois.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure.
• Empathetic, assertive, and client-focused demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of personal injury matters from pre-litigation through trial.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, insurance adjusters, and experts.
• Develop case strategy and evaluate liability and damages.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff for optimal client outcomes.
• Participate in trial preparation and trial as opportunities arise.
