Job description

We are seeking a very self-motivated, hard working, ambitious, and driven Associate Attorney with 1 year of experience (or equivalent while clerking or student litigation) to join our dynamic legal team. This role involves extensive litigation in Court, arguing Motions, conducting Trials, and arguing for your client's position and independently managing case files from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Family Law and occasional small criminal cases, including:
• Conducting trials and hearings
• Drafting and arguing motions
• Handling discovery processes
• Communicating effectively with clients
• Representing clients in all stages of proceedings
• Maintain case deadlines and documentation in compliance with legal standards.
• Provide compassionate, yet aggressive, professional legal counsel to clients during challenging times

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Michigan.
• 1 year of legal experience (or equivalent as clerk or student, preferably in Family Law.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple case files efficiently.
• Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.
