Overview
National law firm Thompson, Coe, Cousins & Irons, LLP seeks an associate attorney with 2 to 7 years' experience in civil litigation to join the new Denver office of the firm. Civil and/or commercial litigation experience, especially in federal courts, is preferred; and previous judicial clerkship experience is strongly preferred. Excellent written advocacy skills and valid Colorado Bar license required.
Responsibilities
- Work on a variety of civil litigation matters, including defending insurance carriers in complex, multi-party insurance coverage and bad faith litigation.
- Defend architects, engineers, general contractors and subcontractors in construction defect matters.
- Advise and defend employers in various labor and employment cases.
- Defend transportation, hospitality, real estate and other companies in personal injury matters (from minor to catastrophic).
- Gain practical, hands-on experience at every stage of litigation—from initial advice and counsel through trial, arbitration and/or appeal.
Qualifications
- 2 to 7 years' experience in civil litigation (preferably federal courts).
- Excellent written advocacy skills.
- Active Colorado Bar license.
- Previous judicial clerkship strongly preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
Base pay range: $125,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr
Additional compensation types: Annual Bonus
