Job summary

Javitch Block LLC invites attorneys with 1–3 years of civil litigation experience to join our Ohio team in Columbus. You will manage case files and represent the firm at pre-trials, trials, and mediations in Franklin and Hamilton Counties, with occasional travel to nearby courts.

Qualified candidates should have JD, familiarity with Word/Excel/Outlook, and may have experience in creditors’ rights or insurance subrogation. We offer a comprehensive benefits program and a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.)
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Subrogation or insurance experience a plus
• One to three years of civil litigation experience
• One to two years in Creditors’ Rights or Collection fields preferred
• Experience working in a fast pace, high volume environment
• Experience creating persuasive communications materials
• Strong investigative skills to uncover facts, causes of action and determine next steps
• Self‑motivated with a demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and work as part of a team

This integral position in the firm will manage case files to formulate next course of action and represent the firm at pre-trials, trials, mediations, and other court appearances in Franklin County and Hamilton County. Occasional travel to courts in neighboring counties will also be required.

Qualified candidates:

• One (1) to three (3) years of civil litigation experience.
• One (1) to two (2) years of experience in the Creditors’ Rights or Collection fields preferred.
• Experience working in a fast pace, high volume environment
• Experience creating persuasive communications materials
• Strong investigative skills to uncover facts, causes of action and determine next steps
• Self‑motivated with a demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and work as part of a team.
• Computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook
