Job summary

FINITETEK INC, a premier civil litigation law firm in California, seeks an Associate Attorney (Construction Defect / Insurance Litigation Defense).

Candidates must be licensed in good standing with the California State Bar and have approximately 3–7 years of civil litigation defense experience, preferably in construction defect or insurance defense, with the ability to manage a caseload from inception through resolution.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice in California with the California State Bar in good standing.
• 3–7 years of civil litigation defense experience, construction defect and/or insurance defense preferred.
• Ability to independently manage a caseload from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and motions.
• Familiarity with insurance carrier reporting and billing guidelines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, and motions.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, mediations, and arbitrations as needed.
• Coordinate with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel to advance cases.
• Collaborate with partners to develop defense strategies and arguments.

Who we are looking for:

• Attorney licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar (J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school)
• Approximately 3 - 7 years of civil litigation defense experience - construction defect and/or insurance defense preferred
• Able to independently manage a caseload from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, law and motion, mediations, and arbitrations
• Familiarity with insurance carrier reporting and billing guidelines is a plus
