This growing civil litigation firm is seeking a defense attorney with insurance defense experience to join its team representing automotive manufacturers in product warranty litigation. The firm handles a high volume of cases in California state and federal courts, as well as arbitration. This is a fully remote role, with periodic in-person requirements for court appearances, vehicle inspections, and client meetings throughout California.

Responsibilities

• Handle product warranty and general liability defense litigation
• Manage cases in state and federal court, and in arbitration
• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and other litigation documents
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Attend court hearings, inspections, depositions, and client meetings
• Maintain effective communication with clients and opposing counsel

Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in California
• Minimum 1 year of civil litigation experience, including insurance defense
• Experience with product warranty or consumer protection litigation preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting
• Willingness to travel for in-person legal matters within California
