Job summary

UNT Athletics is seeking an experienced, strategic leader to serve as Associate Athletic Director for Communications. The role oversees Communications/SID, public relations, media relations, and crisis communications for all Mean Green programs.

Reporting to the Senior Associate AD for External Relations, you will lead a multi-sport staff, coordinate with marketing and broadcast leadership, and ensure timely media coverage that aligns with NCAA rules and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and four years of related experience.
• Master's degree in journalism, communications, sport management, or related field preferred.
• Experience leading or supervising staff in collegiate athletics communications or sports information.

Responsibilities

• Oversee public relations and crisis management communications for UNT Athletics.
• Coordinate media operations and ensure timely press releases for all sports.
• Hire, develop and lead a high-performing communications and sports information staff.
