Job summary

26North, a next-generation investment platform, is seeking a high-performing Associate/AVP, Talent Acquisition in New York. You will own end-to-end searches across front office and corporate roles, sourcing candidates, building pipelines, and guiding stakeholders through the interview and offer process.

You will partner with hiring managers, deliver market intelligence, and maintain robust recruiting metrics.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of recruiting experience across alternative investments, asset management or related fields.
• Experience sourcing candidates and running full-lifecycle recruiting from sourcing through offer and close.
• Experience across both search firm (agency) and in-house recruiting.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage 10–15 active requisitions in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter with ownership, organization and prioritization.
• Experience using AI tools to support and accelerate the recruiting process.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
• Comfort using recruiting data, metrics and technology to track pipelines and inform decisions.

Job Description

The Associate / Assistant Vice President, Talent Acquisition is a full-lifecycle recruiter on 26North’s Talent Acquisition team. This individual will manage a high volume of active searches across the firm, partnering with hiring managers to recruit exceptional talent for both front office roles—including investment professionals and capital formation and investor relations—and corporate functions across finance, operations and technology. Operating as a hands-on individual contributor, the recruiter will own each search from intake through offer and close, directly sourcing and engaging candidates, building talent pipelines, and advising stakeholders with market intelligence. The role is based in New York and in-office Monday through Thursday, and may be filled at the Associate or Assistant Vice President level, commensurate with the candidate’s experience. This is an opportunity for a self-starter to help build a best-in-class Talent Acquisition function within a rapidly expanding platform.

Responsibilities

Full-Lifecycle Recruiting and Execution

• Manage 10–15 active searches at a time across front office and corporate functions, owning each role from intake through offer and close
• Partner with hiring managers to define roles, calibrate on target profiles and run a structured, high-quality interview process
• Manage the offer, reference and closing process and deliver best-in-class client and candidate experience

Sourcing and Pipeline Development

• Directly source and engage active and passive candidates, reaching beyond traditional channels
• Build and maintain talent pipelines and market maps for current and anticipated hiring needs
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to accelerate sourcing, research, outreach and screening

Stakeholder Partnership and Advisory

• Serve as a trusted talent advisor to hiring managers and business leaders across the firm
• Provide market intelligence on talent availability, compensation and the competitive landscape to inform hiring decisions
• Manage relationships with external search firms and agencies where engaged, holding them to 26North’s standards

Process, Data and Technology

• Maintain accurate, real-time requisition and pipeline tracking and provide regular updates to the Head of Talent Acquisition and hiring teams
• Use recruiting data and metrics to monitor pipeline health, process efficiency and outcomes, and to continuously improve
• Contribute to recruiting operations, tooling and process improvements as the function scales, including the adoption of AI and new technology

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of relevant recruiting experience across one or more of alternative investments, investment banking or asset management; experience in private equity or private credit is preferred
• Experience directly sourcing candidates and running full-lifecycle recruiting from sourcing through offer and close
• Experience across both search-firm (agency) and in-house recruiting is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage 10–15 active requisitions in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
• A self-starter with strong ownership, organization, prioritization and judgment
• Experience using AI tools to support and accelerate the recruiting process
• Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage candidates and senior stakeholders
• Comfort using recruiting data, metrics and technology to track pipelines and inform hiring decisions

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $100,000.00 and $150,000.00. The base salary offered to the chosen candidate will be commensurate with a candidate’s relevant experience and other qualifications for the position, as determined by the Company in its sole discretion.
