The Associate Art Director supports the Art Direction team in developing and executing photography, concepting, design, and visual deliverables for Grandin Road marketing materials across print, digital, video, and other channels. This indirectly leads cross‑functional teams, providing guidance to ensure the creative vision is consistently carried through concept development, typography, layout, and final production.
The Associate Art Director influences merchandising, copy, design, and production teams to ensure accurate imagery, copy, and product representation across marketing assets. Responsibilities include hands‑on layout design, routine creative updates, and timely execution of assigned deliverables. The role also helps plan studio and location photoshoots by developing shot lists, influencing set designs, and selecting locations that support product features and seasonal themes.
Key Responsibilities
Art direct photography team for studio and on‑location shoots, ensuring imagery aligns with brand standards, campaign objectives, and product priorities.
Develop hands‑on layouts for creative assets and marketing materials from concept through production.
Resize, edit, prepare, and present photography, design concepts, and creative materials for review and approval.
Monitor cross‑functional partner assigned marketing materials throughout the creative development and production process to support timely, accurate completion.
Ensure design and layout consistency, maintain brand standards, and support scheduled design and layout reviews.
Prepare and deliver creative presentations to team members and senior creative leadership.
Research competitors, identify visual trends, and recommend fresh approaches to evolve layouts, templates, and campaign concepts.
Perform other duties, responsibilities, and activities as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Education: BFA or BA.
Preferred Education: BFA or BA in Art, Design, or a related field.
Minimum Experience: 3-5 years of related work experience.
Preferred Experience: Catalog or retail experience with a lifestyle brand.
