Job summary

QVC Group in the United States is seeking an Associate Art Director to support the Art Direction team in developing photography, concepting, design, and visual deliverables for Grandin Road marketing across print, digital, video, and other channels. This role indirectly leads cross-functional teams, guiding concept development, typography, layout, and final production.

The Associate Art Director influences merchandising, copy, design, and production to ensure imagery and product representation

Qualifications

  • Minimum education: BFA or BA in Art, Design, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of related work experience.
  • Ability to travel for in-town and out-of-town photoshoots.
  • Availability to flex work hours, including night shoots.
  • Onsite studio leadership to direct teams in person.

Responsibilities

  • Art direct photography team for studio and on-location shoots, ensuring imagery aligns with brand standards and product priorities.
  • Develop hands-on layouts for creative assets from concept through production.
  • Align layouts and merchandising priorities with campaign goals and business objectives.
  • Resize, edit, and present photography, design concepts, and creative materials for review.
  • Monitor cross-functional partner marketing materials during development to support timely completion.
  • Prepare and deliver creative presentations to team members and senior leadership.
  • Research competitors and trends to evolve layouts and campaign concepts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Associate Art Director supports the Art Direction team in developing and executing photography, concepting, design, and visual deliverables for Grandin Road marketing materials across print, digital, video, and other channels. This indirectly leads cross-functional teams, providing guidance to ensure the creative vision is consistently carried through concept development, typography, layout, and final production.

The Associate Art Director influences merchandising, copy, design, and production teams to ensure accurate imagery, copy, and product representation across marketing assets. Responsibilities include hands-on layout design, routine creative updates, and timely execution of assigned deliverables. The role also helps plan studio and location photoshoots by developing shot lists, influencing set designs, and selecting locations that support product features and seasonal themes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Art direct photography team for studio and on-location shoots, ensuring imagery aligns with brand standards, campaign objectives, and product priorities.
  • Develop hands-on layouts for creative assets and marketing materials from concept through production.

    Align layouts, product features, and merchandising priorities with campaign goals and business objectives.

  • Resize, edit, prepare, and present photography, design concepts, and creative materials for review and approval.

  • Monitor cross-functional partner assigned marketing materials throughout the creative development and production process to support timely, accurate completion.

  • Ensure design and layout consistency, maintain brand standards, and support scheduled design and layout reviews.

  • Prepare and deliver creative presentations to team members and senior creative leadership.

  • Research competitors, identify visual trends, and recommend fresh approaches to evolve layouts, templates, and campaign concepts.

  • Perform other duties, responsibilities, and activities as assigned.

Critical Skills/Knowledge

  • Passion for creative work, demonstrated through a strong portfolio.
  • Basic understanding of print production, photography, illustration, and typography.
  • Proficiency with Adobe InDesign.
  • Photography experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel for in-town and out-of-town photoshoots.
  • Availability to flex work hours as needed, including for night shoots.
  • Ability to work onsite in the studio to lead and direct teams in person and attend meetings as needed.
  • Comfort working outdoors in varied weather conditions.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: BFA or BA.

Preferred Education: BFA or BA in Art, Design, or a related field.

Minimum Experience: 3-5 years of related work experience.

Preferred Experience: Catalog or retail experience with a lifestyle brand.
