JOB SUMMARY

Salary range: $110,000 - $135,000 annually, plus potential bonus.

The Associate Architectural Manager is responsible for supporting all phases of the design-build delivery process, with a focus on programming, design, quality, and best practices. This role contributes to project design and technical reviews and partners with project teams, ensuring alignment with project vision, function, aesthetic, and financial goals in accordance with Holland Partner Group’s Core Values.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Contribute to project design and technical reviews by providing input on layout, programming, constructability, detailing, coordination, code, accessibility, and sustainability to ensure alignment with project vision, function, aesthetic, financial goals, and Holland best practices.
  • Partner with project teams throughout the design and construction phases, attending regular design meetings, facilitating design studies, and offering early input on constructability and long-term impacts, supporting alignment with project goals and Holland best practices.
  • Collaborate with team members to implement best practices aligned with Holland’s ESG goals.
  • Participate in the preparation and review of yield studies during project pursuits.
  • Partner with team members to resolve complex design challenges.
  • Support project teams during construction to help meet overall goals and schedule, including site visits, permitting assistance, code interpretation, RFI and Submittal reviews, and subcontractor question responses.
  • Support the delivery of final accessibility reliance and property condition assessments.
  • Support the development and maintenance of internal design and technical resources, including Holland design guidelines, best practices, lessons learned, unit libraries, and templates. Support communication and implementation.
  • Support key departmental and company initiatives, including ESG, GRESB, prototype development, process improvements, technology implementation, resource creation, asset management, design innovation, and standards updates.
  • Partner with project teams to implement ESG and participate in the preparation of annual GRESB Development reporting.
  • Prepare communication materials for department and corporate initiatives
  • Collaborate with project teams across interior design phases to align with brand standards, design intent and budget. Attend design meetings, assist with RFPs, coordinate with consultants and review design, finish selections and deliverables, including related scopes.
  • Support project teams with interior design during construction by reviewing RFIs, submittals, and FF&E selection to ensure adhered to design. Site visits may be required.
  • Represent Holland Partner Group in a professional manner at all times.
  • Perform all other duties as directed and assist the overall team effort.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required.

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in architectural consulting or multi-family design involving garden, mid-rise, and high-rise construction. Previous experience with mixed use buildings, interiors, site design and construction document production, and construction administration preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Knowledge of multifamily design, construction, and operational processes, including architectural design, site planning, and reading and interpreting construction documents.
  • Understanding of building and zoning codes, accessibility, construction sequencing, constructability issues, and how details relate to the whole project.
  • Basic knowledge of building science, energy codes, and sustainability.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize competing demands under challenging time frames.
  • Ability to meet timelines, milestones, and deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Ability to support teams in a Design Build work environment.
  • Exceptional communication and active-listening skills, including written, graphical, and verbal.
  • Ability to think critically and creatively and to be solutions oriented.
  • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive, flexible, responsible, and resourceful.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees.
  • Proficient in the use of Procore and Microsoft 365 Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to command a mastery of company used software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and others.
  • Experience in AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, and others.
  • Execute assigned tasks and responsibilities using technology tools per Holland’s best practices.

Attendance: This full-time position is exempt and requires the ability to be present and available during business hours to meet company and department needs. Additional hours or flexible schedule may be required.

This position also requires:

  • Travel and overnight stays.
  • Ability to lift or move up to twenty (20) pounds.
  • Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
  • Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally.
