Job summary

PETER PENNOYER ARCHITECTS, DPC in Miami is seeking an Associate to join one of the firm’s project teams. You will work across all design phases from Pre-Design through Construction Administration on projects ranging from houses to commercial and institutional work, with a strong emphasis on classical design and historic preservation.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture, 2–3 years of full‑time experience, excellent graphic sensibility, and strong drawing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture is required.
• 2–3 years of full-time experience preferred.
• Strong interest in classical architectural design and historic preservation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; Revit is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Be an essential part of a project team through all design phases from Pre-Design to Construction Administration.
• Assist in developing design concepts and researching historical precedent.
• Produce drawings and models under direction of the design team and senior staff.
• Assist with project coordination and documentation production.
• Survey and analyze existing site conditions and contribute to deliverables.
• Collaborate with Project Manager and senior team members to deliver on time.
• Prepare for and attend meetings with clients and consultants, record decisions, and issue notes.
• Coordinate with other project professionals and develop clear drawings.
• Communicate effectively in written and oral formats; self-check work for accuracy.
