Job summary

Vertiv in Delaware, Ohio is seeking an entry-level engineer to support sales by providing technical information and product applications. You will act as a conduit between the field and internal departments, assisting with quotes and order workflows.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and will involve working under supervision while developing strong technical and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; Electrical Engineering preferred.

This role assists sales representatives by providing technical support to help sell company products. Serves as a conduit between the field and the other applicable internal departments. This support includes providing technical information on company products and the application of these products, assistance with custom product features and pricing, ancillary product selection and pricing, and quotation of 3rd party equipment related to company products. This position is entry level and will require some oversight from the group leader and reports in office full time in our Delaware, Ohio engineering site.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing clear, concise, and technically sound tailored solutions for customer review and acceptance based on customer requirements and/or request for proposals (RFPs), ensuring proper scope and required technical specifications are met.
• Applies a quote configurator tool to provide comprehensive quote support.
• Assists in the review of custom equipment orders and provides technical instruction throughout the order workflow.
• Provides applications sales support.
• May assist with post sale technical support.
• May assist in providing product support to Offering Managers.
• May participate in new product development projects.
• Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications
