Job summary

Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking an Associate Anchor Producer to serve as the editorial backbone for the anchor, keeping rundowns current and flagging news and elements. You will provide research and suggested questions for interviews.

You’ll pitch segments, identify new reporting and graphic elements, and collaborate with newsgathering and research teams while targeting unique guests and angles for major stories. Flexibility for evenings, overnights, and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Political news background required; international news experience is a plus.
• One year of broadcast or newsgathering experience preferred.
• Four-year college degree or equivalent in proven industry experience.
• Ability to produce quality work quickly and in an organized manner.
• Excellent writing and researching skills — style, language, accuracy, and balance.
• Ability to think quickly during breaking news, adapt to program and anchor style.
• Attitude — eager, cooperative, energetic, team-oriented.
• Strong production vision — envision a segment or package and turn it into reality.
• Self-starter — enterprise ideas with little supervision.
• Must have flexibility to work different shifts including evenings, overnights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Pitching, researching, planning show segments and digital & social media projects as needed.
• Identifying new reporting, video and graphic elements and helping to research and produce segments.
• Crafting compelling questions for interviews
• Collaborating with newsgathering and research teams.
• Expected to pitch unique guests/angles for biggest stories of day
