Job summary

Sunoco LP is seeking an entry- to early-career Financial Analyst to support the Trading and Risk function in Newtown Square, PA. The role focuses on broker reconciliation, MTM reporting, and validating trading data across systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with risk limits.

You will build models to forecast financial results, analyze trading performance, and generate regular management reports while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance data accuracy and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
• 0–2 years of relevant job experience.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs) and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily broker reconciliation.
• Prepare and maintain daily MTM reports to evaluate open positions and valuations.
• Reconcile trading positions and risk data across systems and ensure accuracy in risk reporting.
• Compile reports from Right Angle to verify traders are within approved limits per risk policy.
• Develop and maintain models to forecast financial results and monitor exposure.
• Analyze trading performance and prepare regular reports for management decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and streamline reporting.
• Support the deal capture team in validating all trades done by supply and trading.
• Produce ad hoc reporting and analysis related to Supply and Trading’s PnL.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Complete daily broker reconciliation
• Prepare and maintain daily mark-to-market (MTM) reports to evaluate open positions, discretionary trading activities, and associated valuations.
• Reconcile trading positions and financial data across systems, investigate discrepancies, and ensure accuracy and consistency in risk reporting.
• Compile various reports from Right Angle to verify traders are within the approved limits per the ETP Risk Policy
• Develop and maintain models to forecast financial results and monitor exposure associated with trading activities and market movements.
• Analyze trading performance, identify key performance drivers, and prepare regular reports to support trading and management decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, streamline reporting, and develop automated analytical tools to enhance efficiency and transparency.
• Support the deal capture team in validating all trades done by supply and trading
• Any adhoc reporting and analysis related to Supply and Trading’s PnL

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, and/or Accounting

0-2 years of relevant job experience.

• Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to prioritize work requirements within tight, concurrent deadlines
• Ability to fully utilize all Microsoft Office software at the intermediate level including Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.) and PowerPoint
