All work requirements are subject to change at any time based on leader discretion and/or business need.The OpportunityAs the Associate Analyst in Recoveries, you will drive the success of Ally’s recovery operations by serving as the primary liaison between third-party collection agencies, legal service providers, and internal stakeholders. This role oversees supplier performance and compliance monitoring, manages legal support activities, coordinates witness requests and travel logistics, responds to interrogatories and discovery requests, and leads process improvement initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness while balancing risk. The individual in this role will serve as an official representative and legal witness on behalf of Ally, appearing in court proceedings and providing testimony as needed. The ideal candidate is a highly professional and confident communicator who is comfortable in courtroom environments, can effectively represent the organization in legal matters, and is willing to travel frequently overnight to support business and court-related obligations.The Work ItselfMay review any compliance/cost issues related to supplierMay assist in developing/refining appropriate metrics to measure supplier performanceMay be responsible for assisting in supplier due diligenceTravel to trials in order to serve as Ally witness, as need arisesResearch and understand discovery requests and work across business units to comply with the orderReview and respond to interrogatories with accurate, factual informationDevelop and maintain contacts throughout all areas of the business to support defensive litigation and accurately respond to requests from the courtsDelivers continuously improving year-on-year expense results and performance lift by improving processes and increasing productivity.Builds solid peer-to-peer relationships in a team environment to meet operational needs.Communicates effectively and clearly on a daily, weekly, monthly basis with vendors to provide exceptional service regarding routine and escalated requests.Supports rigorous quality, control and compliance programs to include an ongoing control/compliance self-assessment process.Performs data entry, system coding, inventory audits, reconciliations, etc. to ensure alignment between vendor systems and Ally systems.Responds promptly to vendor requests (information, data, letter generation, etc.) as needed.
