IMP in Boston, MA is seeking a versatile Associate Analyst to join our growing team. Our client projects include data integration, vendor searches, compliance, and trade order management system implementations, with mentorship to develop skills.

The ideal candidate will bring industry and technical capabilities to IMP engagement teams, helping clients maximize the value of their investment systems and drive successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field
• 0-2 years of investment management experience (internship/project related experience or US Military experience with logistics and planning)
• Strong project management and business analysis skills
• Strong knowledge of equities, fixed income, derivatives, and the trade order life cycle
• Solid written and oral communications skills
• Experience working with trade order management systems is a plus
• Experienced in creating and executing test plans on projects is a plus
• Understanding of compliance and the Investment Company Act of 1940 is a plus
• Knowledge of relational databases and how to code SQL in Oracle, MS SQL Server or Sybase is a plus

Responsibilities

• Participate in client project scoping, planning, and kick-off
• Assist in requirements gathering, interviews, workflow analysis, and data analysis
• Execute testing plans (unit testing, QA/UAT testing, parallel testing)
• Assist in migration planning from the test environment to go-live
• Work with the team on post-go-live tasks and client environment
