Job summary

OpenExchange seeks an Associate Solutions Engineer to join our Solutions Engineering team. You will work with senior engineers embedded with clients to design, build, and ship AI-native solutions, from agentic systems to knowledge infrastructure, and client-facing prototypes.

This forward deployed role places you in the room when problems are defined and at the keyboard when solutions are built. Remote US-based, visa sponsorship not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is required.
• Up to 2 years in a technical or solutions-adjacent role considered.
• Foundational Python or scripting skills.
• Familiarity with SQL, vector stores, or document databases.
• Comfort with APIs and data formats like JSON/CSV.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-enabled assistant systems and workflows.
• Code agents and agent-based patterns as part of product.
• Develop knowledge infrastructure including databases and embeddings.
• Evaluate model performance with business outcomes and feedback loops.
• Collaborate with product, sales, and client teams to clarify requirements.
• Contribute to product roadmap with insights from client work.
• Prototype rapidly and deliver client-owned solutions.
