Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Palmdale, CA is seeking an Associate Aeronautical Engineering Manager to lead the ADP Subsystems Design and Installation team. You will balance managerial duties with hands-on engineering work alongside the Design team to deliver advanced aeronautical solutions.

You will mentor engineers, oversee training and performance, and drive continuous improvement within the ADP program while coordinating with senior leadership and customers.

Qualifications

• Team Lead experience in engineering teams.
• Experience in subsystem design and installation (Airframe/Structural Layout, Detail Part and Assembly).
• Proficient with 3D CAD tools (CATIA, SolidWorks, Pro/Engineer, Creo, NX or equivalent).
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline; US citizen with active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative leadership to the ADP program and balance managerial duties with hands-on design work.
• Mentor and develop engineering talent, conduct performance assessments and career planning.
• Oversee compensation, awards, and recognition processes; manage training and team readiness.
• Identify growth opportunities and drive continuous improvement within the ADP Subsystems.
• Execute technical design tasks in partnership with the Design Team Manager.
