Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an actuarial candidate to disrupt the transportation space, offering non-traditional actuarial experience within a rapidly growing division. You will deploy actuarial skills to deliver timely estimates, build processes, and work with risk managers, legal, and finance teams to shape forecasts.

The role requires 4+ CAS Exams, 3+ years of P&C insurance experience, and strong Excel/SQL skills.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Math, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science or similar.
• 4+ CAS Exams and at least 3 years of property and casualty insurance experience.
• Proficient in Excel and SQL.

• Deploy traditional actuarial skills and training in new and innovative ways to provide timely, accurate, and actionable actuarial estimates that optimize the company's insurance program.
• Build, maintain, and improve processes including data creation and validation, actuarial analysis, internal and external communication, and financial impacts and forecasts
• Be part of a talented cross-functional team of risk managers, legal, finance stakeholders!

Basic Qualifications

• BA/BS Math, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science or Similar
• Candidate with 4+ CAS Exams and a minimum of 3 years of property and casualty insurance experience
• Excel skills, proficient with SQL (or similar querying language)

Preferred Qualifications

• ACAS/FCAS Designation, or equivalent
• Experience with R, Python or similar coding languages
• Experience with commercial or personal auto insurance
• Great communication and organization skills, ability to multitask and be a team player
• Balance attention to detail with swift and practical execution
• Drive to learn complex topics

For New York City, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $131,000 per year - USD $145,000 per year.For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $131,000 per year - USD $145,000 per year.
