Job summary

Uber is seeking an actuarial candidate to help optimize the company’s insurance program in a fast-growing division. This role offers exposure to non-traditional actuarial work and high-impact projects across risk, legal, and finance teams.

You will deploy core actuarial skills with data-driven approaches, build scalable processes, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver timely forecasts. This position blends rigorous analysis with practical execution in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Math, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science or Similar.
• 4+ CAS Exams and a minimum of 3 years of property and casualty insurance experience.
• Excel skills, proficient with SQL (or similar querying language).

Basic Qualifications

• BA/BS Math, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science or Similar
• Candidate with 4+ CAS Exams and a minimum of 3 years of property and casualty insurance experience
• Excel skills, proficient with SQL (or similar querying language)

Preferred Qualifications

• ACAS/FCAS Designation, or equivalent
• Experience with R, Python or similar coding languages
• Experience with commercial or personal auto insurance
• Great communication and organization skills, ability to multitask and be a team player
• Balance attention to detail with swift and practical execution
• Drive to learn complex topics
• Enthusiasm about Uber!

For New York City, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $131,000 per year - USD $145,000 per year.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $131,000 per year - USD $145,000 per year.

For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
