The EA Create Capture team provides high-quality body motion performances for in-game, cinematic, and narrative sequences.

Reporting to the Stage Manager, the Associate Acquisition Specialist is a member of the Acquisition team - the crew that prepares and executes motion capture recording sessions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in motion capture recording sessions including daily production prep and capture system set up.
  2. Learn and operate proprietary tools related to the acquisition systems.
  3. Learn proprietary art pipelines, new technology, and processes.
  4. Under the guidance of the Senior Acquisition team members, participate in the construction/assembly of set pieces and props.
  5. Maintain and troubleshoot the studio Audio and Video systems.
  6. Participate in talent wardrobe fitting and motion capture marker application.
  7. Help document workflow and pipelines.
  8. Contribute to postmortems, provide feedback, and help improve motion capture processes and data output.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum 3 years of production experience in a related entertainment industry: Film, TV, Video Games, VFX, Theatre.
  2. Comfortable with the pressures of being on-set and working in a live production environment.

You should also have experience in at least one of the following areas:

  1. General motion capture knowledge and experience.
  2. Audio/Video production.
  3. 3D animation software, such as Motion Builder.
  4. Kinesiology.
  5. Animation.
  6. Carpentry or set construction.
  7. Film/theatre/concert stagecraft and rigging.
