Job summary

New Era Cap, LLC is seeking an Associate, Accounts Payable for its Buffalo, NY headquarters. This on-site, full-time role handles invoice validation, approvals, and data entry in SAP and Concur, while coordinating with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues. A Bachelor’s in business administration and 0–2 years’ related experience are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Verify the validity of invoices received.
• Ensure proper approvals are obtained prior to payment.

• Research vendor inquiries and resolve outstanding payments.

Responsibilities

• Verify the validity of invoices received
• Ensure proper approvals are received prior to payment
• Enter invoices in SAP and Concur for payment, ensuring proper cost center and general ledger coding
• Research and follow through with vendor requests for outstanding invoice payments
• Interface with other New Era Departments on invoice resolutions
• Notify Vendor Owner of any changes to a vendor address, bank account for wires, name, or any other pertinent information to validate and prevent any fraudulent risk
• Assist with Accounts Payable reconciliation and follow up on open items
• Prepare accounts payable documents for archiving
• Cross-train on all applications and steps involved in payment process (i.e., Concur Invoice, SAP ECC, etc.)
• Continuously analyze and provide process improvement recommendations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the department
• Provide support for key finance projects, initiatives, and technology implementations
• Provide additional support to the finance team as deemed necessary
• Keep sensitive information confidential
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Strong computer skills, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to learn and utilize new systems
• Ability to establish relationships and interact with various levels within the organization
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and efficiently prioritize workday to maximize productivity
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
• Enthusiastic, pro-active, and positive person who adapts to change and with urgency and persistence
• The ability to be innovative and creative when handling difficult business challenges
• SAP Concur & SAP ECC experience preferred

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field required
• Zero (0) to two (2) years of Accounts Payable or other finance related experience required

• The location for this position is 100% on-site in Buffalo, NY
• 0% to 5%; domestic and/or global

The salary range for this posted position is $40,000 - $50,000 (plus bonus & benefits) and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Actual compensation will fall within this range and is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
