Job summary

DLA, LLC is seeking an Associate in Accounting Execution to join their team in New York, NY. In this role, you'll support month-end close processes and prepare deliverables while working under the guidance of Senior and Manager roles.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in public or industry accounting; Big 4 or large national firm background preferred.
• Foundational knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles.
• CPA candidate status is a plus.

We’re currently looking for an Associate, Accounting Execution to join our Accounting & Financial Operations team in New York, NY. If you’re ready to take on real client engagements and build your career in accounting advisory at a people‑first firm, we’d love to hear from you!

What You’ll Do

• Support month‑end close processes, journal entry preparation, and account reconciliations at client sites
• Execute assigned workstreams under Senior and Manager direction, delivering accurate, timely output
• Prepare organized work papers and deliverables with thorough self‑review
• Build rapport with client personnel and adapt to different work environments
• Conduct technical accounting research and document processes to support engagement continuity
• Communicate proactively on task status, open items, and potential obstacles

What You’ll Bring

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1–3 years of experience in public or industry accounting; Big 4 or large national firm background strongly preferred
• Foundational knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP/accounting platforms
• Strong attention to detail, clear communication, and a team‑first mindset
• CPA candidate status is a plus – we support your path to licensure
