Job summary

DLA, LLC is seeking a Finance Transformation Manager to join our AFO Advisory team in Dallas, NY, Chicago, Boston, or NJ. You’ll help finance leaders modernize accounting operations and adopt technology that scales growth.

You will lead transformation workstreams, drive roadmaps, and build automation using Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Python, and SQL. This role blends client advisory with hands-on delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, analytics, MIS, or related fields.
• 5+ years of management consulting or finance leadership experience.
• 3+ years advising or working with private equity-backed companies.
• CPA certification a plus.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and audit practices.
• Proficient with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Advise CFOs and finance executives on transformation strategies and priorities.
• Lead transformation workstreams and develop roadmaps aligned with business goals.
• Improve month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Build automation, analytics, and AI solutions to improve financial operations.
• Use Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Python, and SQL for insights.
• Support financial system selection, implementation, integration, and client technology adoption.
• Guide change management and coordinate implementation with third-party solution providers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior consultants throughout engagements.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, analytics, MIS, or related fields.
• Bring 5+ years of management consulting or finance leadership experience.
• Offer 3+ years advising or working with private equity-backed companies.
• Bring technical accounting or finance operations experience; CPA certification a plus.
• Apply working knowledge of US GAAP, audit practices, and operational finance.
• Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Demonstrate familiarity with mid-market ERP, CPM, and governance platforms like BlackLine.
• Synthesize complex analytics into clear reports using data visualization tools.
• Demonstrate client advisory, project management, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
