Nova 401(k) Associates is hiring an Associate Account Manager to support clients with 401(k) issues via phone and video. You will learn through paid training, pursue industry credentials, and grow within a company that values development and work‑life balance.

The role begins January 2027 in Houston, TX, with five‑day‑per‑week on‑site work and potential hybrid arrangements after probation. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Excellent written communication skills and ability to compose a professional email.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and knowledge of phone etiquette.
• Excellent time management, organizational skills, and ability to multi‑task.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and comfortable using a computer.
• Knowledge of VOIP phone systems is a plus.
• Help desk experience is a plus.
• Committed to lifelong learning and coachable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of client service for team‑based Solo(k) Services.
• Manage and prioritize workload towards weekly goals in a results‑oriented team environment.
• Consult with clients regarding plan operation, design, and upgrading platforms.
• Follow‑up by phone with clients about missing items.
• Assist firm‑wide clients via the phone, video conference, or email with census submission issues, submitting Forms 5500, simple 401(k) questions, resetting passwords, troubleshooting web access, etc.
• Collaborate with account managers and others to ensure a positive client experience.
• Document all client interactions in our workflow management system.
• Assist with other assigned tasks to balance workloads and receive well‑rounded training.
• Perform work according to Nova policies and procedures.
• Complete assigned training.
• Work towards obtaining an industry designation.
