Job summary

Foundation Risk Partners in Orange, CA seeks an Associate Account Manager to handle and process new and renewal commercial lines business and related inquiries. You will initiate cross-sell opportunities and provide in-house customer service support to commercial lines CSRs.

The role requires attention to detail, solid underwriting knowledge, and the ability to coordinate with carriers and clients. FRP offers a collaborative team environment and room for growth within our SIP Insurance team.

Qualifications

• Self-starting attitude with initiative and strong written and verbal communication.
• Solid understanding of commercial lines underwriting and policy administration.
• Accurate data entry and proficient computer keyboarding.

Responsibilities

• Input applications into the agency management system using carrier rating tools.
• Assemble applications, loss runs, photos, and docs for policy issuance.
• Review policies for accuracy; notify if 10%+ premium increases.
• Monitor renewal status and address expirations via rewrites/remarketing.
• Respond to client and carrier inquiries; issue documents per procedures.
• Maintain a suspense system for tracking orders and overdue items.
• Handle carrier interactions per agency standards.
• Update systems for cancellations and reinstatements; follow up on requests.
• Handle routine correspondence among carriers, agency, and insured.
• Follow E&O guidelines and maintain organized files.
• Perform special projects as assigned.

Job description

Foundation Risk Partners, one of the fastest growing insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the US, is adding a Associate Account Manager to their SIP Insurance team in Orange, CA.

Job Summary:

Handle and process new and renewal commercial lines business and claim inquiries. Initiate cross-sell opportunities from the existing book of business and develop new client sources when possible. Provide in-house customer service support to commercial lines customer service representatives.

Essential Functions:

• Input customer applications into the agency management system using carrier rating applications.
• Assemble applications, schedules, loss runs, photos, appraisals, and other supporting documentation for submission to insurance carriers for policy issuance.
• Review new and renewal policies for accuracy in rating, coverage, and policy details. Ensure policies are delivered or mailed to clients. Advise the service representative when premium increases are 10% or greater.
• Monitor the renewal process by verifying that all policies listed on expiration reports have been renewed, rewritten, remarketed, or otherwise addressed.
• Respond to phone calls from clients and insurance carriers regarding certificates of insurance, evidences of property, and other policy-related documentation. Issue documents according to agency procedures.
• Maintain a suspense system to track outstanding orders, correspondence, reports, and overdue items requiring follow-up.
• Manage carrier interactions in accordance with agency standards.
• Update agency systems for policy cancellations and reinstatements based on agency reports. Follow up on requests for additional information, audits, loss runs, inspections, and other outstanding items.
• Handle routine correspondence between insurance carriers, the agency, and insured clients.
• Maintain familiarity with and adhere to agency Errors & Omissions (E&O) guidelines.
• Maintain electronic and/or paper files in an organized and up-to-date manner.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned by management.

Competencies & Qualifications:

• Must be a self-starter with strong initiative, creativity, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Should possess a thorough understanding of commercial lines underwriting, coverages, and policy administration.
• Must be proficient in computer keyboarding and data entry, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Pay Transparency Range

$50,000—$55,000 USD
