Qualifications

The Associate Account Executive, Government position focuses on the customer lifecycle, supporting the growth of State and Local Government within an assigned territory. As a seller, you will be responsible for expanding our presence in the State and Local market, owning contract renewal strategies, delivering excellent customer experiences, and growing revenue and retention rates.

Your performance will be evaluated based on your ability to meet sales expectations and maintain high job performance through various metrics focused on business growth. All work must align with T-Mobile's core values.

The Associate Government Account Executive will target regional and local city government entities, K12, and Non-Profits in smaller markets across the US, recommending wireless solutions, IoT, and SmartCity solutions.

Job Responsibilities
  1. New Sales Activities: Generate new business opportunities within the assigned portfolio of existing and target accounts. Exceed sales goals while maintaining appropriate customer churn rates. Negotiate agreements and own contract negotiations as necessary.
  2. Customer Relationships: Maintain high levels of in-person customer meetings to build deep client relationships as the brand ambassador within the territory.
  3. Solution Selling: Sell the full portfolio of T-Mobile solutions by engaging in deep conversations to understand client pain points and create win-win scenarios.
  4. Account Management: Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a strong customer lifecycle and maximize revenue and loyalty.
  5. Reporting: Use Salesforce.com and other systems for effective reporting and forecasting.
  6. Customer Engagement: Present to customers and attend events to promote the brand and engage clients. Lead account strategies to improve results.
  7. Internal Collaboration: Work with internal stakeholders to achieve goals, including operations, marketing, legal, compliance, and others.
  8. Training: Complete ongoing training to stay knowledgeable about products and sales approaches.
  9. Goals: Meet or exceed productivity and sales targets based on targeted metrics.
  10. Professional Conduct: Demonstrate positive behavior, ethical standards, and professionalism.
  11. Additional Duties: Handle adjustments, credits, and other projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of direct sales experience, preferably in wireless or technology sales, with 2+ years in the public sector.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong presentation and strategic selling skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Technical aptitude and quick learner.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to develop deep client relationships and manage territory effectively.

Additional requirements include being at least 21 years old, legally authorized to work in the US, and willingness to travel as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

Total target cash pay range: $110,800 - $200,000, including incentives. Base pay range: $66,480 - $120,000. Pay varies based on location, qualifications, and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), stock plans, paid time off, parental leave, family support, tuition assistance, disability, insurance options, and discounts on mobile and internet services.
