Job summary

Barrows, a WPP Unite team, seeks an Associate Account Executive to support Unilever commerce initiatives with Walmart. This junior role emphasizes operational rigor, relationship-building, and delivering integrated marketing strategies across digital and in-store retail.

You will partner with senior team members to manage projects, track timelines, briefs, and performance indicators, while learning the Unilever client landscape in a fast-paced startup-like environment.

Qualifications

• 0–1 years of experience in a marketing agency, retailer, or digital company.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Strong project management, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Passion for shopper/retail for CPG or health and wellness brands.
• A curious, growth-oriented mindset with a strong hunger to learn the client's business, objectives, and competitive landscape.
• Excited about working in a fast-paced, startup environment where you can learn by doing.
• All-hands-on-deck mentality with a strong willingness to support teammates beyond your assigned tasks.
• Comfortable working with clients; strong interpersonal skills.
• Proactive and decisive; driven and logical thinker who is eager to seek feedback and grow.
• Lead by example and perform well under pressure; ability to handle multiple projects at once.
• Computer literate, administratively strong, attention to detail, accountable.
• Ability to work in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Responsibilities

• Support the management of projects, while being a key liaison between design and production teams.
• Route requests and manage project needs from brief to final reveal under guidance of account leadership.
• Manage status updates and reporting using internal tools (status sheets, hot sheets, timelines).
• Document key takeaways from meetings and suggest small workflow improvements.
• Proactively anticipate internal and client needs to ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Assist in developing high-quality creative briefs communicating brand goals.
• Foster collaboration across departments to improve work quality.
• Maintain positive, solution-focused attitude under tight deadlines or pushback.
• Demonstrate eagerness to learn and take on new project types.
• Support management of timelines, budgets, and deliverables for multiple projects.
