The Associate Account Executive is the advocate for both the client and the agency, assisting, developing and guiding clients’ marketing programs and providing strategic solutions to clients’ business objectives.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Utilizes agency tools in conveying all necessary information (e.g. creative briefs, status documents)
- Coordinates scheduling and communication of projects, feedback, revisions, and approval to ensure client satisfaction and project completion.
- Solicits and provides all relevant job information to team members in a timely fashion
- Builds full knowledge of agency’s offerings, mission and vision, while taking a role in seeking ways to improve upon them
- Provide industry-specific insights and subject-matter expertise, recommendations and guidance across the agency and to the client when appropriate.
- Remain alert to new opportunities to grow the business and provide value-added services.
- Manages small projects with limited supervision.
- Track all competitive advertising activity and assist in the preparation of competitive reviews and updates.
- Build rapport and credibility with clients based upon trust, account service delivery and expert counsel.
- Understand the elements of a strategic marketing communications plan and be able to actively participate in its generation.
- Assists team with management of partner relationship on behalf of the client.
- Assists with the development of client-facing legal contracts, SOWs and other documents for program execution.
- Contributes to creative brief development for all assigned projects in conjunction with strategy and review with team leaders as appropriate before presenting to the client.
- Collaborate with project managers on the development of project estimates.
- Responsible for client review and approval of project estimates.
- Involved in the management of project financials in accordance with agency and client policy and procedure.
- Manage each account in a manner that produces profitability for the agency through effective resource allocation.
- Know how to present agency concepts to the client and guide well-considered feedback.
- Keep the client informed on the status of all projects including completion and distribution of weekly status reports, production timelines or other verbal or written updates.
- Proof all layouts, copy and mechanicals before presentation to client.
- Monitoring all client projects and campaigns to ensure they remain on strategy and meet business KPIs, utilizing appropriate reporting tactics.
- Mentors more junior team members when appropriate.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Advertising, Marketing or Business related preferred
- Marketing communications experience: 2-3 years
- Advertising agency experience: 1-2 years
- Experience with project management tools such as Workamajig or Advantage
Working Conditions:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Typically working in an office with occasionally working outdoors on location at client sites.
Travel requirements - In town travel necessary, occasional overnight travel needed.
