  • 6-7 years' marketing communications experience preferred.
  • 5-6 years' advertising agency experience preferred.
  • 2-4 years' experience leading interdisciplinary teams.
  • 2-3 years' experience managing direct reports.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Account Supervisor, Client Services, serves as the client's main point of contact on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that projects are delivered on-strategy, on-budget and on-time. More than a liaison, the Supervisor is the advocate for both the client and the agency. They are responsible for the initiation of all marketing, creative, media, production, and research projects for the client and working with a support team to execute deliverables. The ideal candidate has proven success managing complex timelines, meeting deadlines, leading teams, and anticipating upcoming issues to proactively partner with senior management to resolve them.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Mentors and leads more junior team members.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the planning, development and leading a team of 4 or more to execute advertising activities for each client, including creative brief and critical path, in accordance with client's objectives and budget.
  • Proficient in all aspects of campaign development, including brand strategies, integrated creative campaigns, production from start to finish, and final delivery of assets across a variety of channels.
  • Intermediate understanding of staffing and scoping requirements.
  • Finds solutions that both meet clients' objectives and are in the agency's best interests.
  • Contributes to new business pitches when assigned.
  • As the main point person to the client, regularly initiate and manage all client correspondence, including scope of work and cost estimates.
  • Proactively initiate new projects and work with support teams to manage timelines for all creative projects and media assignments.
  • Assist in the development and production of strategic plans, presentations, and proposals.
  • Provide timely and ongoing budget management and reporting.
  • Consult with creative, media and research teams to communicate client objectives and to develop strategic solutions.
  • Collaborate with traffic management on the development of project estimates.
  • Use critical thinking skills to assist support teams so they can manage projects through agency systems including but not limited to opening of jobs, providing details, completing tasks and tracking timelines.
  • Keep the client informed on the status of all projects including completion and distribution of weekly status reports, production timelines or other verbal or written updates.
  • Responsible for client review and approval of project estimates.
  • Coordinate with production staff/vendors to ensure that products are delivered on time and meet quality standards
  • Coordinate the development of the evaluation and analysis of advertising activities.
  • Ensure all key members of the account team have reviewed and proofread all material, approved copy, proofs, etc.).
  • Monitor all client projects and campaigns to ensure they remain on strategy and meet business KPIs, utilizing appropriate reporting tactics.
  • Participate in brainstorming and ideation sessions.
  • Work with traffic management team to ensure timeline, deliverable details, and deliverable changes are communicated and trafficked out accordingly.
  • Track all competitive advertising and industry activity and assist in the preparation of competitive reviews and updates.
  • Build rapport and credibility with clients based upon trust, account service delivery and expert counsel.

  • Understanding of Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.).
  • Understanding of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Advertising, Marketing or Business related preferred or combination of education and experience.
  • 6-7 years' marketing communications experience preferred.
  • 5-6 years' advertising agency experience preferred.
  • 2-4 years' experience leading interdisciplinary teams.
  • 2-3 years' experience managing direct reports.
  • Well-versed in full-service agency offerings.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Workamajig and Advantage

Working Conditions:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Typically working in an office with occasionally working outdoors on location at client sites.

Travel requirements - In town travel necessary, occasional overnight travel needed.
