Job summary

Quad is seeking a Digital Designer for a brand-new client onsite in Modesto, CA. This role produces digital creative solutions to address our marketing needs and supports the brand through high quality pieces on tight deadlines.

The position is salaried, with a pay range of $70-75K per year, and requires availability to work onsite at least 3 days per week. Proficiency in MAC and Adobe CC is essential, with strong English communication and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent.
• At least 2 years as a Mac Operator/Graphic Artist.
• Proficiency with MAC hardware/software systems.
• Experience with motion graphics and storyboards.
• Knowledge of Adobe CC: Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, After Effects, InDesign; basic InDesign for print/digital.
• Ability to create/edit animated GIFs (Photoshop/AE).
• HTML5/CSS considered a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written English.
• Strong multitasking in a fast-paced environment; able to work overtime.
• Adapt quickly to new software/tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Create motion graphics animations for social media use.
• Design and propose creative elements for visual purposes in client media collateral.
• Create layout comps, rough and presentation materials as requested.
• Assist in project and client customer service needs, including direct communications with the client.
• Forge and execute exciting digital ideas.
• Strategize, design, and produce high end results.
• Keep up to date with graphic and advertising trends as they relate to digital design.
• Follow established proofing procedures on all jobs, proofing with associates as required and securing initial proof approval as needed.
• Provide additional creative client support on special projects.
• Deliver creative elements based on specific direction from leadership or project coordinators.
• Execute, design, and propose creative elements for electronic materials (PDF, Web, Interactive) and editable documents.
• Attend project meetings, ideate with the team, and provide creative materials and ideas.
• Propose creative concept elements for potential and new projects.
• Work closely with the design team and the client’s marketing group to collaborate on creative direction.
• Perform other responsibilities as they are developed and defined.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Mac Operator and Graphic Artist.
• Proficiency with MAC based hardware/software systems.
• Experience with motion graphics, including designing storyboards and animating for final output.
• Knowledge of Adobe CC suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, After Effects, InDesign); basic InDesign knowledge for periodic print to digital transfer.
• Ability to create and edit animated GIFs (Photoshop, After Effects).
• Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong multitasking ability in a fast paced environment, with willingness to work overtime when needed.
• Rapid adaptation to new software tools and changes in project direction.
