Role Description

The Associate will handle a range of litigation and client-focused tasks, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery, and assisting in case strategy development. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with clients, gathering and analyzing evidence, coordinating with opposing counsel and experts, and preparing for hearings, mediations, and trials. The Associate will collaborate closely with partners and other team members to ensure that clients receive thorough communication, regular case updates, and high-quality advocacy. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Pittsburgh, PA, with a mix of in-office work in downtown and some work-from-home flexibility as appropriate based on case needs and firm guidelines. This is a mid-level position and requires 5-7 years of injury litigation experience.

Qualifications
  • Licensed (or eligible for prompt admission) to practice law in Pennsylvania; Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • 5-7 years of personal injury experience; workers compensation experience is a plus.
  • Ability to conduct legal research, analyze statutes and case law, and draft clear, precise legal documents such as motions, briefs, and correspondence.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex legal issues in accessible language and maintain professional client relationships.
  • High level of integrity, sound judgment, and commitment to ethical practice and client-centered service.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and court schedules in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort with in-person work in Pittsburgh, PA for court appearances, client meetings, and collaboration, with the ability to work independently when remote.
  • Prior clerkship, internship, or associate experience in litigation or injury law is required. This is not an entry level position
