Job summary

Weber Gallagher seeks an associate attorney with strong experience in insurance coverage law to join our team in a hybrid role from any office location. The ideal candidate will have 3–7 years of hands-on experience with complex coverage matters and a JD from an accredited law school.

The position requires licensure to practice in any state where Weber Gallagher maintains an office, with opportunities to work across multiple locations and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–7 or more years of experience in third‑party Insurance Coverage law.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Must be licensed to practice in any state where Weber Gallagher has an office.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Proven track record of success in courtroom appearances, depositions, and settlement negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal analysis and advice to insurance carriers on coverage issues.
• Handle coverage litigation, including declaratory judgments and bad faith claims.
• Participate in strategic case planning and risk assessment.
• Draft coverage opinions, pleadings, written discovery, motions, and participate in arbitrations and trials.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and expert witnesses.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to develop sound case strategies.
• Communicate with clients, the court, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel.
• Provide regular and timely updates to clients on case status, strategy, and potential outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with partners, associates, and legal staff.
• Manage cases while adhering to billing and budget requirements.
• Ability to travel for court, client meetings, etc.
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule from any of our offices.

Weber Gallagher is seeking an associate attorney with strong experience in insurance coverage law to join our team. The ideal candidate will have three to seven years of experience working hands-on with complex coverage matters. The individual in this role will have the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule from any state where we have an office.

Responsibilities:

This position offers a salary range of $110,000 plus and is based on a variety of factors including education, experience, and internal equity.
