Job summary

KFC is seeking an Associate Manager, Paralegal Contracts to lead end-to-end legal support for contract intake and negotiations across KFC US departments. Hybrid work arrangement and a focus on compliance and risk mitigation will enable business goals alignment.

Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating a broad range of vendor contracts, providing risk assessments, supporting RFPs, ensuring privacy compliance, and collaborating with Yum! stakeholders on technology initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; paralegal certification preferred.
• At least 4 years’ paralegal experience in a law firm or law department — in-house experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage intake of vendor contract requests and maintain tracking, reporting and storage.
• Draft and negotiate vendor contracts, including NDAs, distribution and supply agreements, MSAs, SOWs, data processing agreements, and other related contracts.
• Provide risk assessments and escalate high risk issues to supervising attorney.
• Support RFP process by communicating timelines and legal requirements to stakeholders.
• Develop expertise related to compliance with internal policies governing customer data collection and use, ensuring privacy compliance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Yum! stakeholders to ensure contracts meet company standards.
• Contribute to special projects supporting technology initiatives and align with internal teams through meetings and communications.
• Assist with additional assignments at the direction of the Chief Legal Officer.

Manage end-to-end legal support for contract intake and negotiations across all KFC US departments. Your mission will be to ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and support KFC US business goals by driving effective contracting processes.

• Manage intake of vendor contract requests and maintain appropriate tracking, reporting and storage of same.
• Draft and negotiate vendor contracts, including: non-disclosure agreements, testing distribution and supply agreements, master products and services agreements, master consulting agreements, data processing agreements, statements of work, order forms, facilities agreements, and hotel and event agreements.
• Provide accurate, helpful risk assessments and work proactively and cooperatively to develop solutions to complex problems. Appropriately escalated high risk issues to supervising attorney.
• Support RFP process by ensuring that stakeholders understand timelines and critical legal requirements.
• Develop expertise related to compliance with internal policies governing the collection and use of customer data.Support efforts to ensure customer data is collected and processed in compliance with applicable data privacy laws.
• Work cross-functionally with Yum! Stakeholders to ensure contracts comply with internal company standards.
• Work on special projects to support corporate and restaurant technology initiatives as requested.
• Ensure ongoing alignment with internal teams through regular 1x1 meetings, email communications, training/coaching, and measuring and sharing results.
• Other assignments and tasks as delegated by the Chief Legal Officer.

Education/Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required, paralegal certification preferred

Experience

• At least 4 years’ paralegal experience in a law firm or law department – (in-house experience preferred))

Salary Range: $94,590 to $99,845 annually + bonus eligibility.This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
