Location: This is a hybrid (virtual/onsite) position with required onsite days on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday assigned to Parnall located in Jackson, MI. The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate (relocation package is available for those that qualify).
The Associate Electrical Engineer is responsible for supporting the engineering and design of the sustainable operation of Consumers Energy distribution system. The incumbent works with teams across the organization and external stakeholders, and works segments of technical projects as required and directed. The Interconnection Agreements and Programs team is responsible for successfully integrating third party interconnections with our distribution system and managing our third-party generation programs. This role is responsible for day-to-day support of the Company’s Distributed Generation Program, Simple Renewable Program, and application processes for generators 550 kW and below, regularly interfacing with internal stakeholders, external customers, and Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) Staff.
