Job summary

VCI Construction in Upland, CA is seeking an analytical, collaborative Associate Business Analyst to analyze data, develop reports and dashboards, and identify process improvements across departments.

You will partner with Finance, Operations, HR, and IT to deliver data-driven insights, validate data, and create training materials for reporting tools. Construction industry experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in business analysis or data analytics.
• Advanced Power BI experience required.
• Experience with data analytics, dashboards, and reporting.
• Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Smartsheet experience preferred.
• Basic SQL knowledge a plus.
• Construction industry experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and operational data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Gather and interpret data from multiple systems to support business decisions.

• Validate data accuracy and troubleshoot reporting issues.

In this role, you will support business operations by analyzing data, developing reports and dashboards, identifying process improvements and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver meaningful business insights. The successful candidate will have experience with business intelligence tools, financial and operational reporting, and data Analytics. What You'll Do

What You'll Need

• Associates or Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, reporting, financial systems, or a related analytical role.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Power BI is required.
• Experience with data analytics, dashboard development, and business reporting.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
• Experience using Smartsheet is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of SQL is a plus.
• Construction industry experience is preferred but not required.

The wage range for Assoc Analyst Business is $70,000.00 - $80,000.00.
