The Assistive Technology Specialist promotes teaching and learning for all children with the assistance of specialized technology and adaptive equipment as defined in the IDEA 2004. The AT specialist will identify the effects that disabilities may have on a student's ability to access and achieve in the general curriculum and to develop functional skills and independence and work with the team to implement AT to improve and/or maintain functional capabilities and provide access to materials and instruction.
