Job summary

Chicago Public Schools seeks an Assistive Technology Specialist to install, repair, and support AT/AC devices for students with disabilities across CPS sites. You will ensure devices access curriculum and communication, while maintaining documentation and inventory.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of relevant experience, with preference for assistive technology and 3D print design expertise. CPS offers comprehensive benefits and residency requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience providing technical assistance and/or technology solutions in a large organization.
  • Experience with assistive technology is highly preferred.
  • Experience with 3D print design is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and customize equipment for students based on ATRC needs.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, audit, and repair AT/AC hardware and software onsite and at the warehouse.
  • Provide AT/AC technical setup and installation support.
  • Assist with inventory management and data tracking of ATRC devices and shipments.
  • Develop installation procedures and troubleshooting guidelines for ATRC equipment.
