Diversicare is seeking an Assisted Living Administrator/RN in Alabama to lead the nursing department and uphold high standards of elder care.

You will supervise caregivers, coordinate care plans, and collaborate with physicians to ensure accurate medications and comprehensive service delivery.

Qualifications

• Nursing leader role requiring RN license and ALF/LPN credentials with SCALF RN where applicable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to convey philosophy and goals.
• Proven supervisory experience in health care and leadership of teams.
• Ability to make independent decisions and manage care plans and staff.
• CPR/First Aid training and ongoing professional development required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, counsels and evaluates Caregivers.
• Prepares Caregivers’ daily work assignments for efficiency and equity.
• Conducts daily care plan meetings at shift changes.
• Oversees LPNs and medication pass; manages Medication Room operations.
• Coordinates care plans with Unit Coordinator/Administrator.
• Maintains schedules for visiting physicians and coordinates elder appointments.
• Identifies in-services and coordinates their programming.
• Oversees nursing treatments and daily census accuracy.
• Ensures payroll alignment with Administrator expectations.
• Maintains unit operations to meet elder care plans and compliance.
• Reviews physician orders and medication administration records monthly.
