Job summary

Saint Elizabeth Community is seeking an assisted living Nursing Assistant (CNA) for The Seasons East Greenwich. The role supports residents in an independent and memory-impaired setting, with duties including vital signs, daily care, and ADL assistance. Competitive pay is offered based on experience.

Shifts available: Days, Evenings, and late afternoon. A strong focus on safety, documentation, and compassionate care aligns with our mission of dignified living for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent; 3–6 months related experience preferred.
• Graduate of a state approved nursing assistant training program and passed the competency exam; registry entry required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform and record vital signs, height and weight.
• Record weight changes and fluid intake/output.
• Maintain a clean and safe resident environment.
• Report abnormal changes to a supervisor.
• Provide palliative and post‑mortem care as needed.
• Conduct routine well‑being rounds and assist with ADLs.
• Assist with or supervise activities of daily living.

Qualifications For An Assisted Living Nursing Assistant (CNA)

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or three-six months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Graduate of a state approved nursing assistant training program and passed a state approved competency examination (written and skills) within 120 days of employment; name entered into state nurse aide registry.

Responsibilities Of An Assisted Living Nursing Assistant (CNA)

• Accurately perform and record vital signs, height and weight.
• Accurately calculate and record weight gain/loss and fluid intake/output.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
• Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and the importance of reporting such changes to a supervisor.
• Perform palliative and post-mortem care.
• Perform routine well-being rounds on each assigned resident.
• Supervise, assist or provide Activities of Daily Living (ADL's)
• Provide preventative skin care techniques, observe the resident's skin condition and report any changes to a licensed nurse.
• Utilize proper techniques and devices to transfer and position/re-position a resident.
• Provide timely, accurate and complete documentation and communication.
