Job summary

Roseville Area High School in Roseville, MN is seeking an Assistant Wrestling Coach for the 2026-2027 school year.

The role involves assisting the Head Wrestling Coach in carrying out the activities program, teaching technique, tactics and physical training to wrestlers, and upholding district coaching philosophies and standards.

Qualifications

• Previous coaching experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a positive, supportive manner with participants, parents, coaches, school administration and staff.
• Demonstrated ability to promote the self-esteem of youth.
• Knowledge of coaching techniques in skill development, strategy, and team relations or willingness to learn quickly.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Meet and maintain coaching standards per District and MSHSL.
• Commitment to an equitable experience and cultural competence.

Description:Roseville Area High School is seeking an Assistant Wrestling Coach for the 2026-2027 school year.

Major Responsibilities:To assist in carrying out the objectives of the Activities program as outlined by the Head Wrestling Coach. To assist in instructing participants in individual, group, and team techniques, tactics, and physical training necessary for the realization of success; to implement teaching and coaching philosophies consistent with Roseville Area School District.

Responsible To: Activities Director, Adrian Turner, and Head Coach Solomon Lankow.

Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a positive, supportive manner with participants, parents, coaches, school administration and staff.
• Demonstrated ability to promote the self-esteem of youth.
• Demonstrate knowledge of coaching techniques in the areas of skill development, strategy, and interpersonal team relations or knowledge of the sport and the ability to learn the techniques in a quick manner.
• Possess strong communication and organizational skills.
• Meet and maintain coaching standards as determined by the District and the MSHSL.
• Commitment to an equitable experience for all, demonstrated understanding of cultural competence.

Compensation: Competitive assistant coaching stipend as outlined in the district Teacher contract.
