Job summary

Kansas City School District, Central High School, Kansas City, Missouri, seeks an Assistant Wrestling Coach for the upcoming season. You will lead practices, ensure safety, and uphold coaching standards while supporting student-athletes' growth and district goals.

Responsibilities include coordinating the program, supervising athletes, and coordinating logistics for transportation, facilities, and events. Requires coaching courses and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

Must complete MSHSAA/NFHS Coaching Principles Course and Sports First Aid Courses.
Strong commitment to student-athlete concept and knowledge of eligibility regulations.

Responsibilities

Coordinate sport with a full team in compliance with MSHSAA standards.
Assist in implementing athletic standards per MSHSAA Handbook and attend required sessions.
Assist in program coordination and supervision of students at practices and contests.
Help with transportation, facilities, officials and game management.
Organize and schedule practice sessions to develop student-athletes' potential.
Prioritize safety and injury management procedures.
Model high standards of sportsmanship during practices and contests.
Support the return of all school equipment per KCMSD guidelines.
Pursue ongoing professional growth through clinics and publications.
