Job summary

The St. James Springfield wrestling program is seeking an Assistant Wrestling Coach to support the development of an elite, year-round wrestling ecosystem across Academy and Club programs. You will assist in planning practices, teach fundamentals, and provide feedback to athletes while upholding the program's standards.

You will contribute to competition preparation, daily operations, and recruitment efforts, working closely with Head Coaches and staff to cultivate leaders on and off the mat.

Qualifications

• Wrestling experience (high school minimum; collegiate preferred).
• Strong understanding of wrestling fundamentals and training principles.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and connect with athletes of varying ages and skill levels.
• High character, professionalism, and alignment with program values.
• USA Wrestling coaching certification (or willingness to obtain).

This role spans both the Academy (scholastic program) and Club (year-round training and competition), allowing placement based on candidate strengths and program needs.
