Job summary

Declo High School in Declo, Idaho is seeking an Assistant Wrestling Coach for the 2026-2027 winter season. The JV Head Coach will work with the Head Wrestling Coach to develop the program, lead practices, and assist with meet prep and conditioning.

The role emphasizes teaching fundamentals, teamwork, sportsmanship, and adherence to rules. Certification is preferred, but non-certified staff may be hired with stipend aligned to the district schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have a working knowledge of wrestling.
• Certified staff preferred.
• If a certified employee is not secured, a non-certified/community member may be hired.

• Assist the Varsity Head Coach with daily practices, meet preparation, technique development, conditioning and program operations.
• Teach and reinforce proper wrestling fundamentals, sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and character.
• Ensure student-athletes follow all school, district, conference, and IHSAA rules and expectations.

Winter 2026-2027school year

The JV Head Wrestling Coach/Varsity Assistant Coach will work closely with the Head Wrestling Coach to support the overall development and success of the wrestling program. Specific duties include:

• Assist the Varsity Head Coach with daily practices, meet preparation, technique development, conditioning and overall program operations.
• Teach and reinforce proper wrestling fundamentals, techniques, sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and character.
• Ensure student-athletes follow all school, district, conference, and IHSAA rules and expectations.

Salary based on the current district stipend schedule posted on the district web page..

Qualifications: Must have a working knowledge of the game.
