Job summary

Greensboro College Wrestling seeks an Assistant Wrestling Coach to support the continued growth and success of our NCAA Division III program. You will help plan daily practices, provide technical instruction, and assist with dual meets and tournaments.

You will also support recruiting, academic monitoring, travel logistics, and film analysis to develop student-athletes and contribute to program growth. This is a full-time on-site role with opportunities to engage in community outreach.

Qualifications

• Evidence of strong communication and organization.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 14 days.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and conducting daily wrestling practices and drills.
• Provide technical instruction and individual skill development for student-athletes.
• Assist with match-day coaching, dual meets, and tournament management.
• Support travel logistics, equipment management, and roster/entry accuracy in TrackWrestling.
• Coordinate weigh-in procedures and event administration using TrackWrestling.
• Utilize FloWrestling and video analysis tools for opponent scouting and film review.
• Engage in recruiting activities including high school events and campus visits.
• Support academic progress monitoring and student-athlete development.

JOB SUMMARY:Greensboro College Wrestling seeks a motivated, dedicated Assistant Wrestling Coach to support the continued growth and success of our NCAA Division III wrestling programs.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Coaching and Student-Athlete Development (40%)Assist in planning and conducting daily practices.Provide technical instruction and individual skill development.Help prepare student-athletes for dual meets and tournaments.Assist with match-day coaching and competition management.Support strength and conditioning initiatives, as directed.Recruiting (30%)Assist in identifying and evaluating prospective student-athletes.Maintain recruiting communications with prospects, parents, and coaches.Attend high school tournaments and recruiting events.Assist with campus visits and recruiting days.Manage assigned recruiting territories.Academic and Student Support (15%)Monitor academic progress and class attendance.Assist with study hall and academic accountability initiatives.Support student-athlete personal development and campus involvement.Operations and Administration (15%)Assist with team travel logistics.Support equipment management and inventory.Manage team rosters and competition entries through TrackWrestling.Coordinate weigh-in procedures and event administration using TrackWrestling.Maintain accurate season records and statistics.Utilize FloWrestling and other scouting resources for opponent analysis.Assist with video breakdown and technical analysis for individual student-athletes.Create and maintain match film archives for student-athlete development and recruiting purposes.Assist with fundraising and community engagement activities.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree required.Strong communication and organizational skills.Valid driver's license required.Current CPR/First Aid or the ability to be certified within 14 days required.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Previous collegiate wrestling experience preferred.Previous coaching experience preferred.Familiarity with TrackWrestling tournament management software preferred.Familiarity with FloWrestling and video analysis tools preferred.Desire to pursue collegiate coaching and student-athlete development.Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or ability to obtain one preferred.Experience operating passenger vans, buses, or towing equipment trailers preferred.
