Job Description

The Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach at the University of Indianapolis provides essential support and leadership across all aspects of our women’s soccer program. Reporting directly to the head women's soccer coach, you will actively contribute to recruiting, coaching, administrative tasks, and student-athlete mentorship, ensuring the program excels competitively and academically.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in coaching duties, including technical skill development and individual athlete mentoring.
  • Adhere strictly to NCAA and department compliance rules.
  • Develop detailed practice plans and competitive game strategies.
  • Conduct scouting and comprehensive film analysis.
  • Recruit qualified student-athletes aligned with UIndy’s athletic and academic standards.
  • Manage administrative tasks such as NCAA compliance documentation, travel planning, equipment management, community outreach, fundraising, and camp coordination.
  • Participate fully in departmental and soccer program staff meetings.
  • Oversee and mentor graduate and student assistant coaches.
  • Monitor student-athlete academic progress and degree attainment.
  • Fulfill additional tasks and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Demonstrated collegiate coaching experience, ideally within NCAA Division I or Division II.
  • Administrative proficiency, including academic support, logistics, and camp management.
  • Proven experience in player development and recruitment.
  • Goalkeeper coaching experience preferred.
