Job summary

Bethune-Cookman University is seeking Assistant Women’s Basketball Coaches to support the Head Coach in building a championship program. You will help recruit student-athletes, plan practices, manage film exchanges, and contribute to team development and game-day operations.

You will also assist in academic monitoring, student-athlete advancement, and fundraising efforts while representing the program in media and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of two years of head or assistant collegiate coaching experience.
• Proven knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance responsibilities.
• Commitment to advancing diversity and gender equity and meeting NCAA Academic Progress Rate targets.

Responsibilities

• Coaching on- and off-court activities, including recruiting, evaluation, film exchange, practice planning, and game-day management.
• Assist with academic support, study halls, monitoring, and meetings with student-athletes.
• Support with development and fundraising efforts for women’s basketball initiatives.
• Represent the program as an ambassador, engaging media, alumni, and supporters.
• Handle additional duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
