The New Jersey Department of Children and Families is seeking a part-time Assistant Coach for the Women’s Basketball program. The role involves assisting with practices, skill development sessions, and recruiting. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and previous basketball experience, alongside strong organizational and communication skills.
Job Duties:
Will assist head coach with various aspects of the women’s basketball program including but not limited to practices, player development, recruiting and community engagement and perform other duties as assigned. The coach will assist at practices, skill development sessions, academic monitoring and travel. The coach will also assist in the coordination of fundraising and perform other duties as assigned related to overseeing and managing the Women’s Basketball program.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required
Previous college basketball playing or coaching experience at any college level preferred
Positive attitude & ability to motivated young women
Promotion of mental health and a balanced lifestyle as a student-athlete
Strong organizational skills, effective written, and oral communication skills
