Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, seeks an Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach to assist in planning and preparation of training, travel, practices and recruitment for our NCAA Division III program.

The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS, 1–2 years of collegiate coaching or playing experience, and strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Evening and weekend hours are required as part of this 0.10 FTE appointment.

• Self-motivated with recruiting, teaching and coaching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Coach in planning and preparing team training, travel and practices.
• Support recruiting efforts and help attract, matriculate and retain student-athletes.
• Attend coaching/teaching meetings and collaborate with staff.
• Complete required training and certification programs; pursue professional development.
• Model high standards of sportsmanship and conduct during practices and contests.

Some evening and weekend hours are required.The typical working schedule for this position is September through March.
